Burn rate
How much cash a company spends each month.
Definition
Burn rate is the rate at which a company spends cash, usually measured monthly. Net burn accounts for revenue, while gross burn looks only at expenses. Together with cash on hand, burn rate determines runway and how soon a company needs to raise again.
